the magic faraway tree

i think i must have read every single one of enid blyton's stories when i was a child. i read and reread the little hard cover books, precious stories of toy soldiers and golliwogs, magic trees, enchanted chairs... among my favourites is the series of books with the magic faraway tree, I remember desperately wishing I had one in my backyard!

This necklace is an ode to that kind of magical spirit. It features a vintage gold-toned rocking horse pin, beautiful in detail and magnificence of the horse, glittering green rhinestone eyes. The pin is intact, and sits on a strand of twinkly cubic zirconia gemstones, a slightly grey-black shade of sparkly. Accented with a single white rhinestone heart.

I made this necklace modular on purpose, the pinback of the rocking horse is hooked through the necklace spring clasp and split ring to form a funky cute choker, or the necklace can be worn alone with its own 14K gold-filled clasp, tattooing the nape of your necklace with single white heart.

Measures about 36.5 cm (14.5 inches) around without the pin. Pin measures about 5 cm (2 inches) at its widest point.
